The Crucifixion

This artwork portrays Jesus’ crucifixion and death upon the cross. The crucifixion is witnessed by his loving mother, Mary, and John the Apostle. At the foot of the cross stands Mary Magdalene, turned to the Lord in great sorrow and still faithful after his death. Carved in solid maple wood, this piece reminds us of his humanity and great suffering for our salvation.
